Our History

Keystone Masonry, Inc. was founded in 1987 by Steve Borman, a Stonemason and Bricklayer since 1977. Mr. Borman's first project in the State of Washington was setting the stone for the Vietnam Veterans War Memorial on the Capitol Campus at Olympia, Washington.

While Keystone Masonry began as a one-man operation in custom residential and light commercial masonry, Keystone steadily grew in capability and capacity. In the early 1990's, Keystone expanded into the commercial market, building larger projects in the retail, industrial, Department of Defense and public works markets.

By 1998, Keystone employed over 100 people and had developed a solid reputation for delivering large projects on time while maintaining quality craftsmanship and a positive relationship with contractors and owners.

Keystone Masonry, Inc. has steadily grown to become the preeminent Northwest masonry contractor offering unparalleled technical support, superior service and quality craftsmanship with a commitment to fairness, honesty and quality. Keystone has won numerous awards for its craftsmanship from the Masonry Institute of Washington, as well as the Mason Contractor's Association of America. Keystone has consistently ranked among the top masonry companies in the U.S. with Masonry Construction Magazine. In 2008 Inc. Magazine ranked Keystone Masonry, Inc. the 2,763rd fastest growing private company in the United States.

Keystone is a member of the Washington State Conference of Masonry Contractors with its President, Steve Borman, serving as an officer of that organization.
